In 2009, Bernardo Torres Borja started his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey at GB Belo Horizonte, earning all his belts under Professor Marcelo Uirapuru Azevedo. Since then, he's excelled in competitions, securing titles at the local, national, and international levels. In 2020, amidst the pandemic, he became a BJJ instructor at Gracie Barra St.Peter's, discovering his passion for guiding students. Professor Bernardo is committed to serving his community and positively impacting lives through Jiu-Jitsu. His goal is to help individuals achieve their aspirations and become better both on and off the mats.

Michelle's journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu began in 2019, marking the inception of a transformative experience. Starting her training in Thailand and later in Melbourne, Australia, she found her true calling in BJJ. The turning point in Michelle's life occurred when she pursued training in Brazil, leading her to meet Professor Bernardo at Gracie Barra Buzios. Together, they envisioned creating a school and contributing to the community through Jiu-Jitsu. For Michelle, Jiu-Jitsu became a catalyst for personal growth, instilling confidence and helping her overcome various fears. Passionate about women's self-defense, Michelle is committed to making a positive impact through the art that changed her life.
